Hi all,

I'm looking at running a section of the Milk River in a couple of weeks. What would be good sections for a 3 day/2 night trip? Also, any advice on where to leave vehicles for shuttles?

Thanks
Al

We were to do the Upper Section on the long weekend but the flow was too low :( so we did the Waterton and the Belly. :)
We have done the Lower Section. I have all the info you need. Right now the flow is at 17m3/s which is pretty good. We want to try again soon to do the Upper Section.
Here are some links for you.

But specifically to your questions.

Town of Milk River to Writing-on-Stone Park
-2days/1night or at a relaxed pace 3days/2nights

Del Bonita to Town of Milk River
-3days/2nights.
Call Karen at 403 758-6683 she charges $40 for a shuttle between Del Bonita and Milk River Town and lets you park your car at her place (safer)

If you can only do one part I'd say the Lower would be a good place to start. It is just such a magical and mysterious trip.

Email me a drzandee@telusplanet.net for any other info
