Dried Hamburger

Ingredients: 

2 lbs lean ground beef salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

skillet, collander, paper towel, dehydrator

Instructions: 

Fry ground beef with seasoning of choice on low heat. Crumble into small granules. Drain all fat and rinse with hot water. Let drain. Spread out on paper towels to dry further. Spread on dehydrator trays (may line with plastic wrap) and dry until ground beef looks like small pieces of gravel.

Comments: 

To rehydrate; just cover dried beef with boiling water. rehydrates in 15-20 minutes. Can be basis for many different meals.
