Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients: 

Place in a small zip-lock plastic bag:

1 package (.9 oz) Knorr Carbanara & Bacon sauce mix

2 tablespoonfuls sliced almonds

2 tbsp. nonfat dry milk powder

 

Combine in quart zip-lock bag:

2/3 cup dried French-cut green beans

1 tsp. dried chopped onion

The small sealed bag with the sauce mix

Carry separately: ¼ cup Durkee French-fried onions

Instructions: 

At camp, boil 1.5 cups water. Add vegetables. Cover; remove from heat and let stand 10 min. Blend in sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens; about 2 min. Top with French-fried onions.
