Lentil Pate

Ingredients: 

1 c. lentils

3-4 c. water

2 c. stir fried veggies (carrots/peppers/onions/mushrooms)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 t basil

1 t dill

1/2 c. cashews or sunflower seeds

Instructions: 

cook the lentils until tender. Stir-fry veggies with spices for a while, add the cooked lentils and continue cooking until everything is tender. Add the nuts or seeds and puree in a blender. Dehydrate until all the moisture is gone. Crumble the dried mix or powder it in the blender. While on the trail add water to bring it back.
