Tasty Garlicy Kabobs
Beef, pork, chicken (cut into cubes)
bacon, partially cooked (optional)
red onion wedges or mini onions
green/red pepper squares
mushrooms
mini potatoes (partially cooked)
cherry tomatoes
other veggies of choice
fresh crushed garlic (5-6 cloves)
garlic powder
butter rice (optional)
cutting knife garlic press (or do it beforehand) skewers (or soak small branches so they won\'t burn on the fire)
Either prepare ingredients beforehand and store each separately in Ziploc bags, or cut them up at your campsite. Put the stuff on the skewers in whatever order you like, except for the garlic. Melt about 1/4 lb butter, add crushed garlic and garlic powder to taste - don\'t be shy! Cook kabobs over hot coals on a grill. When they\'re almost done, spread the garlic butter mixture over the kabobs. Be careful, there might be a minor flare-up! Serve over rice.
Good for the first or second night or a trip with few portages. Yummy!!
